Maden Voyage

OSD officially has a new toy in the form of a 3 person Sotar fishing raft. Got a late start yesterday due to delayed flights, but still did a 4 mile float down the Cuyahoga yesterday. The boat rows and drafts better than I could have imagined. I have never been happier in rain with 38 degree weather while not catching fish. Fishing was put slightly on the back burner because we had to keep moving in order to make it to the take out before dark. I appologize I'm not as good as owen with the camera, but here's some shots of yesterday...

NPAA Conference

Just got back from the NPAA (National Professional Anglers Association) Conference in Minneapolis this weekend. It was gathering of 200+ anglers like us that have deticated their lives to spreading our passion for fishing and making a career out of it. I met several legends of the sport including Gary Parsons, Keith Kavajecz, Tommy Skalis, and Al Linder to name a few. What a great experience and one thing I already knew was confirmed yet again... Even when there is no open water around, fishermen know how to throw back a few cold ones and have a good time.

West Meets East

Ryan and I had the opportunity to get out on the water Wednesday with a couple of great fellas from the Eastside. These guys are the definition of the future of Steelhead fishing in Ohio. Meeting in thr morning we discussed where we we going to fish, the past nights adventures, and how much beer we had and or we going to need if fishing went south or never went at all. We fished all day in a light snow, 26 degrees, and a beautiful winter day.

Second Hobbies...

OSD guys love to fish in the fall, but at the same time we love spending time off the water and in a tree. We have a bunch of great footage from fall 2010.
